AR For Education

Augmented Reality (AR) merging virtual 3D objects with the real world.

Creating augmented reality projects in class is accessible to all with free app suggestions, lesson ideas and video tutorals to get you up and running quickly.

A selection of free apps supporting classroom projects for beginners to advanced and experienced iPad users. Use AR to create teaching resources, celebrate students work in art and design, make 3D models and environments then bring them to life.

AR works in a similar way to QR Codes. With AR, generated 3D objects and art work are displayed when triggered. AR triggers are programmable and more varied and sophisticated than a QR Code. I advise exploring the QR Code area of the Hub before attempting AR, if you are unfamiliar with QR Codes.

I envisage this being an area of huge growth and development over the next few years, not just from Apple, but many other tech industries.

“Simply put, we believe augmented reality is going to change the way we use technology forever. We’re already seeing things that will transform the way you work, play, connect and learn.” —Tim Cook
