For All Teachers and Support Staff

This popular course is now being delivered online using Zoom on 23rd September 2020.

Developed by Oscar Stringer, over the last ten years while working in schools, this course will ensure you develop confidence and provide practical ideas for using iPads efficiently in lessons. Take time to explore hidden features and discuss the benefits iPads offer teaching and learning..

Use the iPad Differently When in School.

As educators, learning how to use the iPad in a classroom setting, requires guidance, patience and an understanding of the technology’s true potential.

Working with the pre-installed free apps on the iPad, discover how to create, share, assess, organise and mark-up students work.

iPads coupled with the right collection of apps are a relevant and flexible tool, allowing teachers to inspire and students to collaborate, create and practise.

Active Learning Rather than Passive Learning.

Our children’s lives have changed massively over the last six months, with increasing amounts of screen time. We can ensure that some of that screen time is productive, educational and creative.

The app list will be forwarded on receipt of your booking form. We always invoice your school after you have attended the course. Prevent fraud, never pay for a training course before it has taken place.

The half day course will be led by Oscar Stringer, an Apple Education Trainer, who has been working with Apple technologies in schools for over twenty years. As well as running practical, relevant courses for teachers around the world. Oscar has also worked for the BBC, Film Council, BFI, Globe Theatre, British Council and Film Education.

The half day training event will start at 1pm and finish at 4pm on 23rd September 2020. Cost for the half day training session will be £95.00 per person.

If you require a whole school training session on a different day, contact Oscar here to arrange a more convenient time and a different price.

As a delegate of the course you will also have access to all the iPad Basics training materials on the OS Learning Hub and will be presented with a certificate on completion of the course.

We advise using a computer with Zoom installed to take part in the training and use an iPad to follow the activities and tasks.

If you have any questions, please contact Oscar here.

“Many thanks for a great day learning about how to use iPads in MFL. I really learned loads and gained confidence using Ipads in class. I like the way your advice and tips were targeted to the variety of different contexts in each participant’s school, and the hands on approach to practising using the apps. I am taking lots of ideas back to my school and am already implementing them into my practice.” – Merci!

“I found the course very helpful from my starting-point of not using my iPad much for teaching. The course was very hands-on and enjoyable. From my first day back at work afterwards I have been putting what I learnt into practise and will be feeding back to my department in due course.” – Emily
